IFC hopes that Sacheon City becomes the city of aerospace business by opening “2006 Sacheon
Aerospace Expo”, and moreover, spreads over the world to be the city of the aerospace culture.
Around the time of opening “2006 Sacheon Aerospace Expo”, IFC has no doubt that
achievements in research from many related laboratories is a result of the effort of
Sacheon City to lavish on supporting and investing aerospace business early against
ordinary common senses.
Previously, the aerospace part was a business for the future in just some developed countries in science.
However, recently Korea has reached the achievement to prove that the level of Korea’s
aerospace is not just behind the developed countries like US and Russia by launching
satellite communications successfully. From this, IFC is surely believes that the synergy of
the aerospace business of Sacheon City is a great example of becoming the city of the
aerospace culture in the 21st century, and moreover, becoming the city of high-tech industry.
Also IFC hopes “2006 Sacheon Aerospace Expo” is opened successfully, and it becomes the Mecca of
aerospace industry in the world as the representative Korea’s city of aerospace.

그 동안 항공우주산업분야는 과학선진국에서만이 이끌어가는 미래의 산업으로 알고 있었는데 최근에 와서 미국, 러시아 등 과학선진국에 뒤지지 않고 성공적인 통신위성 발사로 우리의 우주과학 수준이 과학선진국과 어깨를 나란히 하고 있음을 증명하는 개가는 참으로 놀라운 업적이었습니다. 이러한 점에서 사천시의 항공우주산업의 선도적 역할은 더욱 돋보이며 앞으로 사천시의 항공우주산업에 대한 시너지 창출은 사천시가 21세기형 항공과학 문화도시로 지향하는 성공적인 사례이며 나아가 첨단산업 도시로의 자리매김을 하게 될 것이라고 생각합니다.
